ANTHONY J. CARBONE

Tone Facts:
My first guitar I made from a broken acoustic.  I used the neck and then cut out a guitar in the shape of a strat out of flakeboard ... formica pickguard.  My pickup was a square microphone from an old tape recorder.
I've been in bands for a very long time.  Matter of fact, I don't remember not being in one.  In the Seventies I played in a punk band, but quickly learned to play the guitar.  Gigging anywhere we could and rehearsing for endless hours, early on I began honing the skill and the craft of songwriting.

Interested in the mechanics, and being able to record and produce, I bought my first multi-track recorder in 1984.  Songwriting went full-steam ahead.  Tunes were being layed down like a factory; occasionally writing with bandmates, friends, and mentors who wrote some great stuff.

After a number of bands and formations, JOHNNY SMOKE millenium version, where you're at right now, is really, really cool to be part of.  And live? ... forget itAll the guys in JOHNNY SMOKE rock.
My first amp was the tape recorder and the speaker  extension out going to a big flakeboard cabinet with a tv speaker in it.  Pretty wild.
