Music, Frank DeBlase
Though folks pile in to see these boys get the Led out and stroll the classic side of rock, it's when this group plays its own tunes that the real thrill emerges.  Real rock music ain't dead by a long shot, sluggo.  And JOHNNY SMOKE is here to prove it.  Big guitar, big vocals, big ... well, just about big everything is at the heart of JOHNNY SMOKE's smoke.  The band has a new all-original CD out, For A Dollar (though I expect it costs a little bit more).
JOHNNY SMOKE, Colorblind, and Wilkes Booth play Saturday, April 7, at The Penny Arcade, 4785 Lake Avenue, 621-ROCK, 9 p.m., call for cover.
