Once dubbed "Rochester's Aerosmith" by the late, great Unkle Roger, JOHNNY SMOKE continues their run of gritty, "smokey," honest rock 'n' roll with their second release of original tunes, For A Dollar.  The four-piece will be supporting the album with a promotional blitz that includes a midnight "madness" sale at The House Of Guitars on Monday, April 2nd, where the CD will be given away free while supplies last, and that following Saturday, April 7th, the band will play at the HOG for their release party (5:30pm), then later that night, will head to The Penny Arcade to perform with Colorblind and Wilkes Booth, in another release event.  I'm not sure if they're vying to get on the campaign trail to stump for a candidate, but they've got the perfect tune with the hook-laden rocker, "Freedom," complete with fireworks effects and lyrics that reflect the sentiment.  In fact, JOHNNY SMOKE calls this album "a ten-song salute to Passion, Truth, Justice, and The American Way," and create lyrics of this nature propelled by hard-driving guitars, heavy drum beats, explosive rhythms and explosive vocals.  Vote for JOHNNY SMOKE!
